Disneyland Birthday: Day 1

This is our tram ride from the parking lot to the park to start our day!
Nathan threw such a fit when he didn't get the blue Dumbo, he screemed the whole ride. So I ended up going with him again, luckly we got one without haven't to puch to many elderly ladies & kids into the water.

Birthday at Disneyland Day 2

The second day at Disneyland we divided our time between California Adventure & Disneyland. Most notably and my favorite was the new Toy Story ride in California Adventure. You get in a car with back to back seats and a gun for each person with this weird ball on a string that you pull and push in & out to shoot targets. you put on 3D glasses and the cars stop in front of different video game screens and shoot as many targets as you can in the allotted time. then the car moves on to the next screen. Since the cars are back to back there are screens on both walls in a hallway/track.

This is another favorate ride that the line because the line is short.

Disneyland A Bugs Land

We always like making a stop at the area A Bugs Land in California Adventure because it has rides just for Ben & Nathans level and theres hardly any lines.

Nearby there was an Imagineering room that showcased all of the major changes that are in the works for California Adventure. A new land themed after the movie Cars, a Little Mermaid ride, the swings re-themed after the Silly Symphanies and the entrance re-themed to reflect what Burbank/LA looked like when Walt Disney first moved to California. Im excited for these new changes, California Adventure is in definate need for a retool.

Disneyland Jedi Academy

This was the first time out of many times that Ben actually got choosen to train as a Jedi (I think that it was because he had the birthday button on). They were given a lightsaber and robe. Then the Master Jedi trained them on how to use the lightsaber. Then Darth Vader & Darth Maul came out and they each got to go one by one to fight one of them. Ben fought Darth Vader although he closed his lightsaber midfight and the master joked about it. There was another kid who got to force push the stormtroopers, but kept pushing just one of them over & over. Ben said that this was his favorate part of the trip.

Goofy's Kitchen

For Ben's Birthday we went to Disneyland. As a special treat we went to Goofy's Kitchen, a really neat all you can eat character restaurant. I will post pictures of the actual Disneyland park next week.

This is Ben & Nathan waiting for a table.

Goofy's Kitchen

Ben & his Birthday cupcake. We got Nathan one so that he wouldn't feel left out. The waiter came out and sang to Ben with Goofy.

Every 40 minutes Goofy came out to the main area & dropped pots & spatulas on the ground so that the kids could bang them together.

Playing with blocks & Reading Night

Ben's school had a reading night activity where the kids went from room to room where each teacher read a different book.

Ben's Kindergarden Thanksgiving program

All of the Kindergardeners in Ben's school had a Thanksgiving program. Ben's class was dress as Native Americans and they brought in plates of treats to share and then sang Thanksgiving songs and recited poems.
