Nathan Painting

This was one of Nathan's last days at Horizon Hills. We usually can't get him to sit to do Art and the teacher never forces the kids to do anything, but this time he actually did it.

We recently switched Nathan into Pre-School at the local Park & Rec since most of the Mom's in his class had pulled their children out of class because of the teacher. His new teachers make structure a big part of their class which may not be developmentally appropriate by so called experts, but this class actually prepares them for real school and is educationally appropriate. Nathan loves his new class and is actually making friends there.

Ben's Basketball & Soccer Classes

We signed Ben up for Basketball & Soccer Classes. He's having a lot of fun, especially Soccer.

Nathan's Construx Vehicle

Recently one of Charlotte's work friends gave us a great gift by giving us boxes of her grown up son's Legos, Construx and other things. Many large sets of Legos. Ben & I have been spending time every night working on one of those sets and Nathan not being ready to follow instructions in order to build something felt left out. So this morning I built him an Alien spaceship out of Construx pieces and he just beamed. It made him so happy he had to bring it with him on the car ride to church.

We Also had a Fmaily Birthday Party with just us. Nathan asked for a Chocolate cake. He got 4 more Spiderman figures, 2 from Ben & 2 from us. He had a great day.

Taking Pictures

Nathan recieved money from both Grandmas and so he picked out an Incredible Hulk costume & figure.

He kept on asking us to take pictures of him.

Ben gave a talk last week in Primary. This is that morning.

Charlotte's Other Christmas Gift

Christmas Day Charlotte found something else under the tree. She came down with a viral infection in her leg called Celulitis which is only now clearing up. She's been on bed rest, but luckily she hasn't had to miss a lot of work. These are older pictures that she gave me permission to post.

Ward Christmas Party

Our church had its annual Breakfast with Santa. The Primary children sang, we had breakfast and the kids sat on Santa.

Christmas Eve & Day

Christmas Eve we all recieved new pajamas, which is one of Charlotte's family traditions. Charlotte made cheese fondue for which the boys screemed about not having any. Brats. But they liked the Chocolate fondue. We acted out the nativity story and read Christmas books. For Christmas Santa brought Nathan a bunch of Spiderman figures, Ben Transformers & Legos, Charlotte books & DVD's and I recieved DVD's.

Ones of our other traditions was to eat ribs for Christmas dinner.
