La Brea Tar Pits

Art Gallery

After the Tar pits we went over to an Art Gallery. The boys enjoyed it when they saw Japanese art of Tigers or birds, but not much else. They kept on wanting to touch the modern art displays, much to the consternation of the gallery guards. They did enjoy the building block in the kids area.

Old Meadows Park

Thursday we took the boys to the park and they played with Nathan's class friend Trevor. Nathan & Trevor get along well since they're the only ones in their class that like to bash their big cars at each other.

Charlotte & Batman

We bought Nathan a plastic Batman mask that he wears around the house all the time.

While Ben was in Pre-K I had to go to a special art store to buy blue pencils and we went to a mall that has a two story carousel.

Ventura County Fair

We went to the Ventura County Fair yesterday mainly to see the animals, but we also had fun eating fair food, going on a ride and enjoying the atmosphere.

Fair: Dragon Ride

The boys wanted to ride the dragon ride, they had a lot of fun spinning around, I had to put my arm behind Nathan's head so that it would stop banging the wall. He had fun though.

Fishing Frenzy

Yesterday we went to Fishing Frenzy at the park behind the library which was put on by Park & Recs. They dropped a bunch of magnetic plastic fish into the stream and for $5 the kids got at magnetic pole for fishing and were able to do different fish activities & crafts.

Tide Pool

Charlotte took Ben to a tide pool at the Fishing Frenzy activity. He had fun touching different fish.

Comic-Con 2008 Pictures

This last weekend I went to Comic-Con, I took these pictures that I thought thatBen & Nathan would think were cool.
The original set piece from the Nightmare Before Christmas.
My from Steve & a Robot.

Comic-Con Swag

I brought the boys home some free stuff that I obtained while at Comic-Con. I got Clone Wars masks & He-Man blow-up swords. They had fun beating each other up this morning. They liked them so much that they had to wear the masks in the car om the ride to church.

Visiting Cousins at the Beach

Last weekend we visited the cousins at the beach. I had the scare of my life. Ann was distracting Charlotte and I was trying to make sure that Ben didn't get dragged out to sea forever and Nathan wandered off. I looked around for him for about 10 minutes, but it seemed like forever with no sight of him. I felt that I needed to head down the beach and someone came up to me asking if I was looking for a boy and that he had found Nathan & taken him to the life guard and I found him safe hanging out with a nice family.
