Boy Scouts Swim Party

We had a swim party at Miguel Pomar's the othet 11 year old Scout Leaders home. That's Nathan in the hot tub playing water gun sniper.

Stagecoach Museum

The boys helped out with an Eagle project at the Stagecoach museum.

Summer of Arcades

I found two arcades that had all the cool old games of the 80s and 90s, one in LA and another one in Padadena. So I took the boys to give them a true arcade experience.

Date Day

Charlotte and I went on a day long date today, first we went to the temple and then out to eat a restaurant called Unami Burger, then we went to see the play The Little Mermaid. I wasn't able to take pictures during so this is a shot of the stage beforehand, the choreography, the set design, costume design and singing were all wonderful!

Flying to Provo/Yellowstone

The boys went on their first flight alone Thursday, which I have to say was really, really hard for me, since they had a night flight and a plane switch in Las Vegas. I was able to walk them to the gate and this is us waiting, but they were on their own almost in Vegas, but they managed and are in Utah and today their Aunt Ann is loading up about 8 boy cousins in an RV to go to Yellowstone for a few days (were praying for her sanity). Funny thing since they landed in Utah I really haven't thought much about them since I know that now their under care, it was just the being alone in unsure surroundings and the possibility of being stranded or kidnapped, etc that worried me, but it all turned out alright. I'll probably worry again when they fly on Friday though.

Family Home Evening at the Mall

Our mall has an outdoor section of shops and they recently put a bunch of games like a Foosball table, Table Tennis, Giant Jenga blocks, Tic Tac Toe and other fun games so we enjoyed those for Family Home Evening.

Father and Sons Priesthood Campout

This last weekend the boys and I went on our church's Father and Son Priesthood commemoration campout where we celebrate the Priesthood being restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. President Brimhall was there and he spoke about how the Priesthood is Gods power to serve and receive revelation for the church that he gives to men in the church.

This picture right here is why I'm glad I now have older boys, they put up our tent almost all by themselves.
This campout was also a chance for the boys to run around and do almost anything they wanted, if you look closely this was Nathan up in that tree.

Waiting for Charlotte

A couple of weekends ago Charlotte went to Utah for a quick visit for Womens Conference and when we came out to the LAX to wait for her for Family Home Evening we waited at the McDonalds for a treat.

Nathan Practicing First Aid

For one of our Family Home Evenings Nathan practiced wrapping Ben up for First Aid.

Nathan's Hidy Hole

Nathan made a fort inbetween the sofa and a chair with his animals on top.

Ben in the hamper

Ben thought it would be funny to sit in the hamper for family scripture study one night.

Scouting for Food

Both Ben and Nathan's Scout group collected food for the needy a week ago, they collected 700 items. By the way I was just called as Boy Scout Leader to the 11 year olds (Nathan's group) and this was my first meeting. The call has both scares and excites me.

Ben's Concert

Ben was in a concert with judges Friday evening, this was them filing into the gym beforehand.
