North Shore Beach

This was our favorate beach, we went twice. The first time on Sunday after the Pali Lookoput and the Cemetery. We just sat on the sand and watched the water and the Parasailors and read books. Both of us are trying to remember the name of the beach/town though.

I Love To See The Temple

While we were in Hawaii we were blessed that the Laie, Hawaii Temple was going through an Open House because of a renovation. When they took us up to the sealing room where eternal marriages are performed it really reminded me about the importance of our marriage and about how eternal it is and how linked to ancestors who have passed on we can be. There was a special feeling in our hearts when we walk through those halls.

Shaved Ice & Shirmp

After the Temple we went looking for a Shaved Ice place and Shrimp Truck that the guide book suggested.

Polynesian Cultural Center

We arrived at the Polynesian Cultural Center and they were just starting a Canoe Pagent with dances from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Aotearoa, Hawaii & Tahiti. It was really good.

This guy was funny and probably my favorate island presentation. He showed us how to really make fire with a stick and a bigger piece of wood.

During this presentation that gave us some sticks that we used to stamp on the ground to create music.

This was a neat presentation on Drums, they selected three volunteers from the audience and taught them how to play native drums. They did so well that it was hard to figure out if they were part of the act or just really got into it.

We started this island off outside of a building in a grassy area where they showed the ceremony that they would go through when a stranger from another village would enter their village.

After that we went inside to watch a singing presentation.

We ended the day with a really nice Luau with good food along with a stage performance.


After that we went to a stage presentation call "HA The Breath of Life". It was a neat representation of the 6 different island cultures represented at the PCC.
