Brickfest

My friend Dave and I took our boys to a Lego convention Brickfest.

 

This was a city they had displayed that kids could add onto, much like the kid in The Lego Movie did, this was the before picture.

They had them build Lego cars and race them on a Pinewood Derby track.

They had a booth where you could shoot a Scout Trooper and one of the Stormtroopers from the new movie.

My Stay Vacation

Since Charlotte and the boys went to Utah and I stay had a class to teach I went to some fun places when not doing my classes.

After dropping them off at LAX I went to the Mormon temple in San Diego.

And a Mexican restaurant.

Walked around Old Town.

Went to the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center.

 Friday I went to the Disney Convention D23, this was concept art for the video game Disney Infinity.

Ben and Nathan's Excellent Summer Adventures: Karate Kid

This is where they filmed the night beach scene where the Cobra Kai took the radio and beat up Daniel.

This life guard tower was in the scene. And the Cobra Kai rode their motercycles down a path on the right side.

Ben and Nathan had fun in the water.

And climbed rocks.

 This is where Myagi practiced the Swan Kick on the wooden posts, those are gone now.

Scout Camp 2015

This was the Pre-Camp meet-up

Ben earned his Camping, Swimming, Kayaking, Reptiles and Amphibian Study and Astronomy merit badges

They hiked up a mountain to see the sunrise.
